Table football
in the West Hainaut area
Many of you don't know most of the players from the West Hainaut area. For the moment, the association of players consists in 3 main clubs (Magic Team Tournai, Templeuve United and Olympic Pecq) and some smaller clubs (Dottignies, Estaimpuis, Blandain, Gaurain and our flemish neighbours from Ledegem).

Our goals, as an association, are:
- to promote the sport of table football;
- to increase the number of players in our area;
- to increase the number of clubs in the area;
- to increase the number of locations where we can play on regular basis or organize tournaments.

To promote the sport, we use the following system:

- we work with the youth as we believe that without young players, the game will die soon;
- we promote all categories, ladies, U15 and U19 categories in particular to attract all kinds of players;
- we have a regional circuit of tournaments;
- some bigger events (national events);
- we try to travel to some international tournaments. Some of our members have already played in France, Holland, Germany, Spain, Austria, USA, Canada and England.

Our main players are:
- Steven Delfosse (U19 world rankings'n2 and former U15 world's number 1);
- Logan Carette (Top 5 player in the U15 world rankings; quarter-finalist in Mata);
- Aurlie Lucq (former n 1 and current n 2 in the Ladies world rankings);
- Vincent Coppenolle (FISTF President);
- Michal Dupret;
- Maxime Castel (quarter-finalist of the U15 World Cup 2002);
- Elodie Bertholet (Top 20 player in the Ladies world rankings);
- Geoffrey Marain (come-back after a 2 years-break);
- Arnaud & Alexis Canfin;
- Jonathan Thulier (current belgian U12 champion);
- ...

Our projects
We are going to organize the FISTF World Cup in 2005. We have just had the approval of the city council to organize it in the beautiful sports hall on august 27 & 28, 2005. It is the most beautiful hall of the city, close to the big square of
Tournai.

We also hope our type of association will give some some good ideas to more people wanting to promote the sport as we think only the work with the youth will help the game to grow. if you want some tips, feel free to contact us.

You are welcome
If you once come in Belgium to visit the country or to play table football, don't hesitate to contact us as we would be glad to meet you for a game and a drink.
