Research
I am doing my postdoctoral research at the Department of Biology,
Indiana University. I continue my interests in tropical freshwater fish ecology..
following are some of my recent and current research projects:
- Conservation models for
freshwater fishes in tropical rivers
- Measurement of species
diversity using traditional (e.g. richness and evenness based indices)
and newer methods (such as indices based on species relatedness)
- Influence of stream
linearity and hierarchy in fish species distributions along river
gradients
- Fish behavioural studies related
to shoaling preferences in the guppy (Poecilia
reticulata)
- Variations in behavioural traits among natural populations of zebrafish (Danio rerio)
