Ah Spaceballs. Good ol' Spaceballs. As you can tell this is one of my all-time favorite movies, even after seeing it over twenty times. Comic genius Mel Brooks goes at it again directing and also acting in this fantasic movie. Brooks plays the parts of President Skroob and Yogurt. President Skroob is the leader of the spaceballs, an evil race of peoples who are known for their ruthlessness. Yogurt is the Schwartz master who trains Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) in the depths of his secret cave. Lone Starr's sidekick Barf (John Candy) is his own best friend as he plays a mog, halfman, halfdog. Rick Moranis plays Dark Helmet. The Spaceballs are after planet Druidia's air supply, as planet Spaceball's is starting to run out. Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) and Dot Matrix (voice of Joan Rivers) are on their way from their home planet Druidia to somewhere far away when they run into Lone Starr and Barf. I won't ruin the ending or the middle for you, but you have an idea of the movie now. So, go out and rent/buy it today!!!! |
