After reading all the negative reviews about Scooby Doo, I went in not expecting much. I was pleasantly suprised though by this light enjoyable film. It takes what was good in the cartoon and runs with it.

The young actors picked to portray the four members of Mystery,Inc. all bear passing resemblances to their characters but Velma and Shaggy are like dead on impersonations. The story is good and will manage to entertain young kids and fans alike. Also the great dane ,whose name the film bears, looks great in his new computer generated state. Also I was pleased that they managed to sneak Scrappy Doo into the movie although him as a villain,c'mon.

The key to Scooby Doo is not expecting too much. If you go in expecting Oscar caliber stuff you will absolutely hate this film.
