Here are some updated New Jersey fishing locations collected from last years reports

Mullica River, New Jersey
When they are running, Striped Bass can be caught around the GreenBank Bridge. Also Pickerel, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, and White perch can be caught around where the Batsto River and the Mullica join.

Oswego Lake and Harrisville Lake, NJ
Pickerel is the most common fish in both of these lakes
Try using small and medium spinners fished along the reeds. Gold and Silver colors worked when we fished these lakes.

Cooper River
This river is getting better every year a lot of effort has gone into cleaning it up. Carp, Bass, Sunnies, and Catfish can all be caught here.
Try fishing by the Kings Highway Dam near Haddonfield. The person who supplied this report said that bright Senkos work well along the water edges. Yellow/orange crankbaits also work..
Others caught Crappie further down the river on white Mister Twister grubs
and Largemouths on medium sized Gitzits cast 10-15ft from shore.

Audubon Lake
6" Lime and Watermellon worms riged weightless produced several Largemouths

Newton Lake
Another NJ waterway that is cleaner today than it was 30 years ago.Try fishing by the bridge at Route 30. (Don't Fish off the Bridge). This Lake has Carp, Bass, Sunnies, and Catfish.
One reporter likes to fish Newton Lake from a boat and says to try black and blue Senkos or black and blue jigs with a crawdad trailer.
Another fisherman has luck catching Largemouth on bright colored crankbaits. Also Perch on minnows and worms.
One more likes Perch colored Rapalas fished slow for Largemouth

Anybody fishing out there? Please send us your fishing stories. 7-16-19-05 Lower Cathedral Lake, Ca. & Tuolumne River, Ca. This report has nothing to do with our area, but after reading it we decided it was worth adding to our report anyway. We took a little time off to do some camping and hiking at Yosemite National Park in California. My son and I decided to bring our pack rods because we new we would be camping near the Tuolumne River and several of out hikes would end at lakes. I purchased a 9day non-resident license and off we went. Our 1st hike was an 8 mile out and back hike with a 1000ft. elevation gain to Lower Cathedral Lake. Even though it was the middle of July, and about 85 degrees there was still a fair amount of snow at spots along the trail. At one point we walked across a 100yard snowfield that was still about 6ft thick of packed snow. Walking through a snowfield in shorts and 80-degree weather is a wonderful experience. I�ve had the opportunity to do this a couple of times in my life and it always has brought a smile to my face. Then out of nowhere, someone in our group usually pelts someone else with a snowball and the smile turns to a laugh. Ok, enough about snowfields. After crossing a mosquito infested meadow at around 9,500ft. we came to a beautiful mountain lake at 4 miles into the hike called Cathedral Lake. This was our turn around point. While the rest of our group started eating lunch and getting ready for a dip (the water was about 50-degrees), my son and I started rigging our fishing gear. While we were rigging our gear a park ranger stopped by and discussed fishing in Yosemite with us. He said they used to stock Cathedral Lake, but stopped in 1992 when they found that the stocked trout were eating too many of the native amphibians. After our pleasant conversation the ranger continued on the trail and my son and I started fishing. We had no expectations, but soon my son landed a beautiful fat Brown Trout about 14 inches long. A while later, just before we started our 4 mile hike back I caught a similar Brown Trout. Although neither of the fish were monsters, the experience will be one of my best fishing experiences. It�s not always about how many fish you catch, but the journey you take to catch them. We spent some time every day catching and releasing several small Rainbow and Brook Trout along the Tuolumne River for the rest of our stay at Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite. 6-2005 Mulica River A lot of pickerel and white perch are being caught near the Forks area on spinners and minnows. 5-1-05 Ocean City, NJ A couple of Blue Fish and a nice Flounder (released) were caught from a boat near the 9th Street bridge Sunday.
