If you have haste, cast it on that Black Mage Lulu. She'll go faster and she'll be able to have more turns to cast Thunder spells on the big thing on the side. Keep on trying to turn it on while Tidus keeps yelling at it (reminds me of myself when I get mad at machines). Soon...the claw will finally work and pretty much kill the thing. If you don't kill it just keep on using thunder and Physical attacks.
