You find yourself sleeping face down in the water and a Blitzball team throws a ball to wake you. Talk to them several times to get items. Wakka is the coach of the team, and although he's never won a game, he tries his best. Keep on exploring around (hint: go in the water) to find more items.
Wakka will lead you to his village, so you need to follow him. After he shoves you off a cliff...explore some more. Keep on following and you'll find his village.
Make sure to grab the Al Bhed Primer vol. II. Now head to the Crusaders tent. Once you're there, Wakka will ask you if you now the prayer. You can answer either question because it wont make any difference at all.
When you get to the tent, talk to everyone inside and save. The Crusaders say they are warriors, dedicated to keeping the village safe. Leave the lodge and explore even more. Before heading to the huge temple, check out the shops. You need potions. Remember that. When your done, go to the temple.
Head on up the stairs in the middle and you'll start talking about Summoners. The guys are very religious, and Tidus goes with the �Sins Toxin� excuse to save his butt. After you're done talking, head on outside and go back to Wakka�s Tent on the right hand side. You'll need to sleep.
When Tidus wakes up, head back to the temple. Inside, go and talk to everyone. It won't take long before Tidus feels he has to be a hero, and he climbs the central stairs.
