WELCOME!!!

Thank you for your interest in the Kincaid Bassmaster's.  This is just an informative note/letter to give you some information about the club.  Contained on this site you will find the following:  copy of the bylaws, information on upcoming calender events and a proposed tournament schedule.

The Kincaid Bassmaster's has one regular meeting a year.  At this meeting, all club business and decisions will be made.  A vote on new members will occur.  The proposed tournament schedule will be voted on including ramp locations, times, and duration.  The meeting is sometimes lengthy, but its only once a year.

The club is non-profit and governed by a set of bylaws or articles of incorporation.  This is basically a set of rules that governs meetings, tournaments and special events.  No secrets.  The bylaws tell exactly what will be done.  The bylaws will not be changed during mid-year.

The club is affiliated with the Kentucky Bass Federation.  The federation provides benefits to the club along the lines of insurance.  The KBF also has a set of qualifying tournaments in which you could eventually fish the Bassmasters' Classic.

The club has several special programs.  We sponsor a lake cleanup at Kincaid Lake State Park as part of our conservation program.  We also hold a Family Night/ Awards Night potluck dinner at the end of the season.

The tournament schedule consists of lakes/rivers.  The proposed schedule list choices.  The choices are voted on at the annual meeting in February.  Everyone has a say,  then a vote is taken.  The majority will then decide on the tournament schedule.

We are very proud to sponsor a kid's tournament each year a Kincaid Lake.  Last year, the tournament was fished by over 275 boys and girls.  Our goal at the tournament is to invoke family outings in the great outdoors.  We try to make sure that every young person receives a prize, a hot-dog and a softdrink.  Most of our time is devoted to this very special tournament.

Please review the information.  If you know someone else who is interested let me know or bring them to the annual meeting.  If you have any questions, feel free to email one of the officers listed on the web site.

Sincerely,

Kincaid Bassmasters
