_______________________________________________________________________________________ Thanks To: Matt Pouley Area: Snohomish River Date: Sept/19/01 Saw lots of fishies jumping but no taker all day. Saw SEVERAL BIG silvers jump out of the water but didn't see anyone catch anything all day. My friend had 1 hook up but the fish instantly broke the line when it jumped up and then began thrashing around.... He was using 15 lb. test! There were a lot of humpies up in the Shallows, northward but deeper and further south I only saw 2 sorebacks all day. ~matt ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Thanks To:Aaron Lutz Area: Snohomish River Date:10/4/01 Went out last evening(10-4) on bank. Silvers everywhere but none caught by anyone. All sorts of tackle being used. Couple old pinks caught. WE NEED RAIN! Aaron ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thanks To: Dave Harwell Area: Snohomish River, Under 520 Bridge 10/06/01 A.M. A Hard day of being schooled at the river this morning. 15 silvers landed before 11:30 am that I counted. 6 were landed by the same fortunate soul. 4 fish were landed by one of his students. Most of the people catching were using a red hook with a small piece of red yarn (no corkie) attached to a 18" leader. Hitting bottom, then a constant slow retrieve. What they were doing is using the short leader to snag them in the mouth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Thanks To: Tyler Celli Area: Skykomish River Date: 10/16/01 Went to the upper sky today with my buddy each limited on eggs with no corkie with a lot of wieght just barley letting it drift. 1 was a little darker and i got a chromer! the other 2 were bigger and were turned a litle bit. great day for fishing if you didn't mind getting wet! tyler |
THANKS TO: John Chandler Area: "Barrier Dam" Date: 11/23/01 Fished the lower part of the Barrier Dam 11/23. Lots of fish all over. I fish between the boat ramp and the dam. Lots of pressure everywhere but worth going! I landed 2 chrome silvers both hens and lost three more. If you can tolerate the crowds and the dumb sh** that is long lining 30 yards up from you it is pretty fun. I used a variety of corkies. I would suggest going small. I caught one of my fish on just a single small pink corkie! |
