Place one pound of diced bacon into a skillet and cook. Place 1/2 pound of butter into another skillet and melt. Remove bacon and mix bacon drippings and butter together pouring from one skillet to another intil well mixed. Mix cornmeal, salt, and pepper together in paper bag. Place trout in bag and shake well. Place trout in skillet so that they sizzle. Cook one side and then turn and cook other side. About 5 minutes will bring trout to a golden brown. Serve hot. Trout can eb eaten corn-on-the-cob fashion.
