name: carie schneider
age: yes
gender: sure, why not.
location: everywhere, but i suppose my mail comes to tucson, az
occupation: student, dadaist, dancer, confuser, Theater Facilities Liaison @ ZUZI! Dance Company
schools: meyers/ganoung elem. - corbett elem. - alice vail middle  - university high - university of arizona
studying: BA in german studies (2005) (i'm really only one course away, i just have to wait until it's offered.) minor in women's studies; almost a minor in english but not officially
hobbies: sleeping, writing, making art, dance and performance art, nonsense, speaking improperly
pets: a ryukin goldfish appropriately named "fish" and a snail named "delightful the sea urchin" but called "snail" for short. even though technically he is "snail the second"
favourite food: mm, food. it would have to be food. maybe sushi. mm, salmon... mmmm.
favourite color: hmm, a good question. maybe black? maybe silver? i really don't know.
favourite store: the 99c store, naturally.
stuff: i like my little house. my front window sports a "beware of attack crab" sign. my house is full of weird objects. i collect badly translated things. my bicycle is from austria. i talk to freight trains. i think the passenger train is a symbol of good luck. i was stalking it for a while. i saw it the other morning at 2:15am. it's very mysterious, this passenger train, it really is. okay, so i'm crazy, too.
interview the carie!
the lame beginnings of the interview section!
so, how are you?
well, currently (as of 9:46pm tucson time on may 28) i'm doing pretty well. i ate dinner (leftover chicken tikka masala) and dessert (the last of the dulce de leche ice cream). now it's pretty warm, mostly because i'm in the warm end of the house (farthest from the AC unit) and because i haven't been turning the AC on because i'm cheap. it's warm outside, anyway. it's still about 80 or 82F. i'm not tired yet, and despite having lots of things i COULD be doing, and despite currently being engaged in the activity of writing this, i'm bored.
so i guess the how-am-i summary would have to be:
warm, bored, not tired yet, will be hungry again soon.
...wow. my life is absolutely thrilling. :P

we
the first actual interview!! whee!
jesse: do you drink coffee?
me: yes.
jesse: if so, do you drink it with cream?
me: cream or milk. whatever is available. i'm picky about the right amount of cream/milk.
jesse: if so, do you pour the cream in before or after the coffee?
me: good heavens! who in their right mind would put the cream in first??? that's like dotting the i before writing the little stick part of the i! there's a proper order to everything in the world, and for coffee, it goes coffee - sugar - cream. the cream must be last, so as not to interfere with the dissolving of the sugar. this is very important. you're probably doing your coffee wrong.
jesse: if you could rename Cuba, what would you call it?
me: hmm, what about "tropical castro-land"... no, not a very good ring to that... umm... "uncle fidel's land of sunshine and relaxation" ?? that one's a little better... umm... "that place your'e not allowed to vacation but you know you really want to go there because of the cigars and the palm trees and the architecture."
jesse: where can you see lions?
me: well, i've seen lions mostly at the zoo. i think that's the place to go see a lion, without bothering a wild lion in his happy home, where he probably has work to do.
interview #2 (well, it's only one question, and not about me.
my brother kevin: did i spell babel right?
me: well, you spelled it as in "the tower of babel" the bible story. however, the verb for being loquatious (and garrulous, at that) is spelled "babble" as is the verb for the noise a small stream/brook makes. as in "the babbling brook". in this case, we had "the babbling brother."  :)
help the interview section not suck so much!
if you or someone you love has a question for me, about me, i will post it and the answer here on this lovely web page. you can post questions using my cool questions+comments page feature thingy-poo (links below & above). yeah.
