With me buying discs that are worn out and cant be used, I am really leaning towards only doing Fishhead Big Brake Kits with NEW Discs, calipers and master cylinders. This would drive the price well over $1000 per kit and I will only be offering my brake kits either through my web site or the kits that I make with used parts through ebay. The upside to this is I wont be stuck with any more junk discs.
March 08: Here is a new ISR 320mm disc (left-$350) and a new Deep dish Brembo 320mm disc (right- $350) and a new ISR 2 piston caliper ((left-$300) and a new ISR 4 piston caliper (Right-$350). These will be made into 2 premium single disc big brake  kits for the Yamaha XS 650.These kits will probably be offered on Fee-bay.
RIGHT:
Heres the ISR 2 piston and the Brembo disc mounted to a 77- later (35mm fork tubes). It will get a new Galfer braided brake line and a Brembo master cylinder.
BOTTOM:
The ISR disc and ISR 4 piston caliper  put on a 76- earlier(34mm fork tube) Yamaha XS 650.
Both of these kits (caliper and disc) weigh less than the stock disc alone.  You will also get better handling through less unsprung weight along with the better braking that the kits offer.
Higher quality components, like the ISR calipers often work better than OEM calipers and the ISR 2,4 and 6 piston calipers can be made to work on more wheels like spoked wheels in many applications. They are often ALOT thinner on the inside of the wheel and lend themself to many more applications.
A prime example of the higher quailty components fitting better and fitting more applications are the 2 XS 650 kits above. Simular 2 or 4 piston OEM calipers wont fit stock Spoke wheels (Mag wheel only application) due to the wider OEM calipers. With the ISR calipers, I am able to make 1 kit fit both mag and spoke wheels. Both kits can also be had in Dual disc. These premium single and dual disc big brake kits also come with a premium price tag and can easily approach close to $2500 complete. Jay Leno is the only person who can afford  my ISR Dual disc kits.
