I dont particulary like C/V style carbs. The BS 40 carbs that came on the later model GT are fine But....
I got a set of snowmobile carbs, Mikuni 38mm Flatslides and modified them to fit. The center to center spacing had to be modified to fit the GT and the carbs had to be rejetted for the GT. The oil injection is now cable operated and the stock throttle cable had to be shortened. I also dont like the look of the GT with out the air box. I modified the air box to house the Uni pods that now filter the air.
My GT has never run this great!!! |
