Peyton Randolph was the first official president of the United States of America. He was elected president by the First continental Congress twice, first in 1774 from September 5 to October 21 and then from May 10, 1775 to May, 23 1775. He was considered to be a legal prodigy, his education consisted of studding at the Inner Temple in London, England. He tutored many of America�s founders at William and Mary College, including Patrick Henry.
Before serving as the first president of America he was the King�s Attorney of Virginia. His house can still be seen in Colonial Williamsburg. He was also a cousin of Thomas Jefferson.
