1st Walmer Scout Group is located in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Port Elizabeth is located on the southern coast of South Africa, approximately midway between Durban and Cape Town. It is the eastern terminus of the Garden Route. The surrounding area is rich in natural parks and other attractions. Addo Elephant National Park and a number of well known game parks are within a short drive. The enchanting Baviaanskloof Wilderness is directly northwest near Humansdorp.

Since 2000 Port Elizabeth has been the seat of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality.

The scout hall is in Fordyce Road between 3rd and 4th Avenues in the Walmer suburb.
