Information on the magazine

Of the science fiction magazines, the one I regularly read is Asimov's Science Fiction magazine.

Edited by Gardner Dozois (pronounced do-Zo-ah), who has virtually monopolised the Hugo Award for Best Editor, this magazine has consistently printed fiction of high quality.

However, the fiction it publishes is not pure science fiction. It has published fantasy, horror and even a few items that I consider conventional fiction. But the quality of the writing is quite high with each issue usually having at least two good stories.

Due to the varied taste of the editor, I have been exposed to more forms of SF than I thought possible. As such, it is a useful magazine to read if you want to get a broad view of the kind of writing in science fiction, rather than sticking to the type of SF you know.
