| OUR PASTOR'S BIOGRAPHIES: Pastor Ellen A. Edwards - Hagwood, was borin in Jackson, NC to the late Mr. & Mrs Arthur Porter. She was one of eight children. She was educated in the school system of Northhampton County. Ellen holds many degrees in her honor. She has attended the Christ Temple Bible Institute, New Jersey Bible Institute, and Hampton University. For 25 years, Ellen was employed by Bell Atlantic Telephone Co., where she retired in 1994. Immediately after graduating from high school she moved to New Jersey (NJ) in persute of greater opportunities. After being in NJ for a short while, she began seeking after the "True and Living God". It was then that she united with the First Newborn OFWB Chruch under the leadership of the late Elder J.H. Singletary. Later she accepted the call in the ministry and preached her initial sermon in June 1972. Currently, she serves in the capacity as the Pastor of First Newborn OFWB Church, where Bishop L. N. Forbes is the presiding Bishop. She is married to Mr. Willie Hagwood. She has two children, Valeria and Marcus, two granddaughters, one daughter-in-law, and one son-in-law. |
