We are a human family of 4 with a Samoyed pack of 4. We got our first Sammy 11 years ago and fell in love with the breed. Four years ago we added our first show dog (Misty) to the family. She is wonderful member of our family - full of energy and fun. Our first show was an experience we will never forget! Since then we have made some wondeful friends and showing has become a family hobby and a great excuse to go camping! We added a male to our pack in the summer of 2003....what a big sweet goof he is! Kiska joined the pack as our first homebred and raised Sammy. She is a joy to live with! And like her mom, she has showing in her blood!
We chose First Light for our kennel name for two reasons. First to reflect our Christian roots...Christ being the Light of the World. Second, because Maine receives the first light of the nation. We bred our first litter in the winter of 2005 and what a great experience it was! We so look forward to watching these little ones grow up and hope their new families will keep in touch! We are currently waiting patiently to welcome our second litter.
