Mining Guide

Mining is a very simple skill. First you will need a pick axe. They re-spawn in a little building in Barbarian Village. Next you will need to go to a mine. They are labeled on the world map that can be found here. To see what type of ore is in the rock you must right click on the rock and choose the "prospect" option. You can only tell what ore is in the rock if you are a high enough mining level to mine it. To mine the rock, simply left click on the rock and in the lower left corner it will say "You swing your pick at the rock...". It may take a few, or many tries to get an ore from the rock.

There are two types of rocks, hard rocks and soft rocks. Hard rocks are easier to mine, but give more fatigue points. Hard rocks also indicate when an ore is in the rock. Soft rocks are harder to mine, but give less fatigue points. To reduce your fatigue points, sleep in a bed or eat food.

Note: In Falador there is a mining guild near the east bank. You need a mining level of 60 to enter.
