Kamaraja Puram Ministry
This Ministry was started in a small house as youth meeting, Sunday school and as women's meeting with the help of a godly women and her son.

After many years of hard working and with the prayer of the church believers and the pastor, it has become a new church. In 1999 the local church was started with 24 believers and most of them are Sourashtras

This Sourashtra community is very orthodox people following staunchly the Hindu religion. They are basically Weavers and there specially is weaving silk-based textiles. They have their own language called 'Sourashtra'. They were migrated from Afghanistan, crossing Gujarat Via Maharashtra to present day Tamilnadu

Sourashtras at present live in Tamilnadu and the total population of this group is around 15,00,000 and they spread almost all over Tamilnadu State, and they live in large numbers in the cities. Madurai is one among the cities, where more Sourashtra people are living.

These Converted Sourashtra people are facing a lot of opposition and threatening from their family circle, please pray for these people. Other Hindu Tamil people also have accepted Christ and coming to church. with the co-operation of Talking Bible India (Bangalore) God made it possible to supply "Sourastra Talking Bible" for 100 families individuals for theis use and evangelisation

Now we are gathering in a rented place. Please pray for us to get a land and build the church building. Please pray for our Meetings

Testimony of Pastor A. Anthony
Before I accept Christ as my personal Savior, I was a Roman Catholic. My Parents were also Roman Catholic. I have three brothers; two of them have gone in to eternity. When we were in our native village there we were going through terrible situation. One of my brothers met an accident and died. By this incident we moved from our native village to Madurai. Later I came to know that it is God's plan

In Madurai by God's grace we started to attending a good Bible believing church. In this church I was able to learn many things about Christ. Sunday School was one of the places where I learned many Bible truths. Through all these ways I came to know that I should accept Christ as my personal saviour. But I did not do so the days were passed. One day I had a chance to see a Christian film. Through this film I was convicted about my sin. So in that day itself I confessed my sin and accepted Christ, as my personal saviour 1985 was the year of my conversion. First Baptist Church of Madruai was a great source of encouragement for me to grow in the Lord continuously.

After I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal saviour and Lord. He gave me the desire to do something for him. I was involving in God's ministry in our church along with my studies. God was speaking to me through messages of God's servants in the church the need of God's ministry. Often I hesitated to obey God's call because of my inabilities and limitations. Once I had an opportunity to attend a camp. There I realized that Ministry is not depending upon my abilities. After that I responded God's call and dedicated myself to Christ.

By this time I completed my secular studies B.A. Then I got the privilege to study in the Bible College. In 1997 I have completed B.D. When I have finished Bible College it was not clear What I am going to do? Where I have to go, But God led me in special way to do His ministry of Church Planting in the other part of Madurai city. God is enabling me to do his ministry among Sourashtra and other people. I am married and have a two son. Now we are serving God as a family. My church is the great encouragement in my ministry. I covet the prayers of god's people.
