Thanks to Torey Cloud for the information on the additions to the Freehold.
The playground: The area is large, roughly around half the size of Firnost, surrounded with
lush, blue-green grass and hilly areas just right for rolling down. Play
equipment of all kinds can be seen. - slides, jungle gyms, trampolines,
tire-tunnels, merry-go-rounds, playhouses, air-filled bouncy forts, climbing
equipment, and a cornucopia of other things for childlings to investigate
and explore. To the left of the playground is a gated, white picket fence
with door to the garden, and to the right is an enormous tree-house sitting
in a large oak tree
Where is Necropolis? The red star on the map shows where.
Outside the TreeHold: In the upper right hand corner of the playground sits a massive oak tree
with an almost equally large tree-house placed in its branches. A chunk of
painted yellow driftwood is nailed in place over the bright orange door,
carved into it the words "Tree Hold". A ladder leads up to a large,
circular, somewhat haphazardly put together wooden balcony with railings
around the edges. Kid-sized tables and chairs are places up against the
railings, allowing a walkway between them and the TreeHold. Halfway around,
installed into the balcony, is a makeshift rope-and-pulley elevator made
from half a barrel. A tire swing hangs down from another branch
Inside the TreeHold: When you open the TreeHold's front door and close it behind you, you
immediately find yourself in a white, booth-like area with rounded corners.
There is a Plexiglas-like door in front of you leading into the actual
TreeHold, and the front door behind you. A red light blinks above the
Plexiglas door, and you soon find yourself slowly spinning in circles...but
you aren't moving! The floor beneath you is rotating, and a mist-like
substance is coming down from holes in the ceiling. After a moment or two, a
sign flashes on that says "Cootie-Free" and the door in front of you
automatically opens with a "Scchhh" sound. As you step into the TreeHold, a
bit dizzy, you are bombarded with bright colours. Each of the four walls are
painted different colours...blue, green, yellow, and orange. The ceiling is a
light purple, with little stars pasted on. The carpet is striped like a
rainbow with the same colours as the walls. Two couches with coffee tables in
front sit next to the door, kid-sized booths line the walls, and mini-tables
and chairs spot the center of the main room. To the far left against the
wall is a kitchen/juice bar area with many cupboards and drawers, surely
filled with all kinds of junk food. A large toy-box sits by a window next to
the bar. It seems deeper than it looks, and is filled with every kind of toy
imaginable. Next to the toy-box a hallway leads to some closets and two other
playrooms, and a staircase leads up to some game rooms. On the right side of
the room next to some wardrobes of play clothing, there is a spot where no
carpet covers the floor. If investigated, a trap door that leads to
somewhere else is revealed...
Missouri: At the red star.
Tunnels: The trap-door opens to reveal a hole. If examined closer, the hole proves
to actually be a slide, lit by an eerie, dim blue light. You feel like
exploring, so you descend down it. It's an exhilarating ride, and it ends in
a sandbox filled with bluish-purple sand and seashells. A rack filled with
what looks to be buckets, plastic shovels, and other beach toy-like things
sits next to the box on the right. On the left is a ladder leading back up
to the outside of the TreeHold. Upon standing up, you see several tunnels
leading off in various different directions. Chairs and tables are set up
along the sides of them with small jukeboxes that play
goth/industrial/techno music. The walls of the tunnels are pearly, and lit
by rainbow-flamed torches. Any tunnel you take, no matter how winding, will
lead you to a large chamber where some tables and chairs have been set up,
along with small bookshelves and end tables with bowls of candy labelled "TRY
ME". A ladder leads up to a round opening in the wall. When you start
through the small hole, you find yourself on hands and knees in yet another
tunnel. You crawl along for a while and eventually come to another chamber,
smaller and empty save for a wooden chair and a table. A ladder leads up to
an opening in the ceiling. You decide to continue, and end up in a room with
smooth, childish scribble-covered rock walls. Treasure-chest like boxes and
wardrobes line the walls, only breaking to reveal a staircase up to another
hole that looks into another room like that one. This floor is covered in
soft green carpet and has two jungle gyms and two child-size, padded lofts
with ladders hanging down and black beanbags underneath. A table with more
"TRY ME" candies sits next to the ladder leading upwards. Is there ever an
end? Yes! And you've nearly reached it. You end up at last in a playroom
with brightly coloured blue walls and matching carpeting. Baby toys are
scattered about haphazardly, and bookshelves filled with books for small
children line the walls. An EXIT sign flashes above the door leading out. A
set of stairs goes down, and you walk down a tunnel to the left of you
leading out from behind a large bookshelf. You find yourself back in the
library at Firnost...
