Solar Viewing on Mews Lawn |
|
On Saturday morning we spent some time safely viewing the sun. One telescope had a solar filter and provided a view of sunspots and a white/grey/black contrast on the surface of the sun that represented the differences in temperature and movement. The other telescope gave each of us a view of the solar flares around the sun. Both types of display were fascinating. |
