i just want to say that all the poetry really touched my heart. most of it really hits hard and makes people realize what the people with those types of jobs go through. it's nice seeing it all from a perspective other then from the outside. i also write oetry, though it's nothing like what you have here, but feel free to read what i have on my website. once again, this really is amazing poetry.

Becki, I cried all the way through your pages. My godfather was Gerald Halloran, a captain on the Kansas City, MO fire department, who lost his life in an arson explosiion that also took 5 other fire fighters, in November of 1988. I will never forget that day. He was my father's best friend for 36 years and they met when my father was also a firefighter with KCMO. With his death a little part of my dad died too.

I just wanted to say that I am a girl who lives in CT and I am really good friends with everyone in our town F.D. and some of my good friends who are in their early twenties and there dad's too are volunteers and paid guys at our Dept. I am totally 100% b hind the F.D. when people do it from their hearts. I didn't have time to go over all the poems and stories butI am definitely coming back to look. I have a friend who is a volunteer fire fighter and his twin brtoher is one as well - I have a few things on his page for it, but I am going to make one just for that - My Hun may even become one - oh oh oh. Becki, you've done a wonderful job here. More people need to see these things. My Godfather was a firefighter. We all worried about him, but he loved his job. Unfortunately he is no longer with us, his heart gave out on him, but thankfully, he was sp red losing his life to the fires. By the way, I'm DDCarol, the new ATL for the Angelics. Hi! I saw your post in tidbits and just had to come visit. My husband is a retired firefighter after 21 years of active duty. He still misses his buddies so bad and we try to visit every chance we get. There's a bond between firefighters that is like no o her I've seen.
