Andy Sweet, well what can we say, hes definitely been one of the pillar bowlers for the Rangers. His performances both with the ball and on the field were remarkable, but we cant forget his love for his brother, as Jamie prepared to bowl, wed always hear Ok, just add another 50 runs to their total after Jamies over. Andy was the first to seal the first five-fa for the season, and deserved it too with his impressive speed and movement of the ball, if I ever required a thigh pad it was in the nets with Andy bowling.

Andy is definitely one to watch out for next season, as hell be a likely candidate for highest wicket taker in the season.

Andy (Undies) Sweet

A great team man, Andy always puts in 100% every time he picks up a bat or a ball.  Facing Andys bowling in the nets is always a challenging proposition for any batsman. And I have had that experience on many occasions. He always seems to find an extra yard of pace when it comes my turn to bat. He says that its not true, but I think he puts in just that little bit of extra effort when it comes to me. And I see that as a mark of respect. And in turn I respect that effort.

The best example I can give is on the Friday before the 2 day game against St Barts. Andy gave me such a work out in that net session that I never felt more confident in my game than I did that Saturday and when I scored 160. I can say in all sincerity, that Andy was a massive contributor to the form I took into the game. The only disappointment was he was not there to see the fruits of his labour.

We all know too well Andys skill with the ball but I would like to mention his efforts with the bat. When he bats in the nets, there are signs of an excellent middle order batsman but where he ends up batting in the lower order is testament to his team player attitude. He sees his job in the team is the opening bowler and if he can contribute a handy 20 or 30 runs than that is a bonus.

Every team in the competition would love to have an Andy in their side someone who if called upon would bowl all day and never give less than his best.

Congratulations on your season and thank-you
