*Forgetting to tell us the opposition were catching our score when he was scoring.
*Stopping play in the last over of the day as Varun was running in by shouting out from fine leg and asking Shandy if he was in the right spot.
Poe is someone who always puts in 100%, no matter the circumstance. Hell bowl his heart out in training and although gets smashed back past his head on numbers of occasions, he will keep trundling back and bowl every ball at 100%. His fielding is sharp, when he doesnt have to think about the situation His batting is great, but only when he Gets his Eye In. Ive seen him get smashed in the chest by a 125km/h bowl and stand tall without a flinch; he is as tough as nails!! Poe is going to be a surprise packet next season!!

Churches Cricket, aware the Rangers would be a contending force this year, generated a means to defuse and regulate the explosive power of the their batting line up and volatile fielding through the devious plan of preparing unkempt, uncut, waist high grassy cricket fields. However, unbeknown to Churches Cricket, they were but creating an environment, a safe haven, a nirvana, nay, a utopia for a Ranger whos skills, talents and aptitude would only intensify and be amplified in the hidden grasslands.

Enter the JUNGLE CAT!

Sleek, silent and balanced, The Jungle Cat would hunt unsuspecting batsman who dared to venture for a quick single. He would patiently lay his trap, seducing the enemy into his lair through cunning and deception, and with his cat-like reflexes, would pounce and savagely attack the ball when it entered his realm.

A favourite ploy of the Jungle Cat was to camouflage and conceal himself at the depths of fine leg, and as the bowler was running in, he would unleash the fatal call of distraction that would sever the batsmans concentration with the efficacy of a guillotine.  No one escaped the jagged clutches of the Jungle Cat.

Coupling his grace and elegance on the field of battle, Peters batting performances this year were rewarded from copious amounts of down payments of hard work and practice. One of the rare batsmen to link two consecutive 50 run partnerships in 2 innings, Peter set himself as the adhesive of the lower order as he placed a valuable price on his wicket and fought doggedly for each run.

And it was his temperament that brought the Rangers back into the game with his staunch 22 in a record partnership of 51 for the 10th wicket against Cavaliers, which laid the platform to allow the bowlers to win a tight game. Just the week before, he was involved in a 57 run partnership with Undies against Noasharks.

A Ranger who is willing to put everything he possesses in to every game and training session, Peter has established personal goals that he strives for every time he dons on the Rangers colours. However, the ultimate personal victory that be chronicled in the halls of Ranger history was an event, that 90 years from now, when all of us have returned to that great green field in the rain absent skies, Peter will still be reminiscing and showing off his battle scars to his multitude of posterity at his feet, the time he took 9 runs of Jeff Spaldings over, including a suicidal hook shot over square leg for 4.

It is an experience that epitomizes Peter to the T, someone whos willing to do what no one has ever tried or even have the guts or brains to do. We give you the Jungle Cat!
