Authors Note:  This story started on the day that I was laid off from my job.  Having nothing to do and feeling crappy I tried to think of people who had it worse than I did.  After reading a bunch of fanfic from The West Wing and The X-Files I realized how much two of my favorite characters had in common.  The story just progressed from there.  I know I promised to work on other things but stories write themselves.  Please send all feedback to [email protected].  Also check out www.geocities.com/firetop1015 for more fan fiction.

Title: Here

Author: Fire Top

He took a quick glance behind him as he walked into the club.  He had heard about this club from an old friend of his, but never had the guts to visit.

Tonight he needed the escape from real life this place offered.

Here he didn’t have to have lost a father to cancer.

Here he didn’t have to have lost a sister to fire.

Here he didn’t have to be shot.

Here he didn’t have to work at the White House.

Here he didn’t have to be Deputy Chief of Staff.

Here he didn’t have to be Joshua Lyman.

Here he didn’t have to deal with egotistical bastards who only wanted to make a name for themselves with no care of who or what they hurt in doing so.

Here he could just be a body.

            Here he could be human.

            Here he could feel.

            Here he could express.

Here he could act out without worrying about the repercussions.

            Here no one asked questions.

And that is what he needed.

After the door closed behind him he found himself confronted by a well dressed man.  “Are you here for a drink or something else?”  He asked looking Josh up and down.

What was he here for?  He didn’t really know.  “I’m here to escape.”

“Very well sir.”  The gentleman opened the second door and let Josh in.  “If you need anything ask for Mitch behind the bar.”  And the door closed behind him.

Josh’s eyes quickly adjusted to the dim lights.  He took a quick look around the area before heading to the bar.  He ordered a Rum and Coke and took a better look around.

There were booths along the perimeter of the room.  Some large some small.  Behind the bar was another closed door with another man standing there.  There was a dance floor where some men were dancing and a band played some house music.

The bar was in the middle of it all.  An island, where men could go to take a break or look for help.

Josh looked at his glass and thought once again what was he doing in a place like this.  He was debating the merits of asking for Mitch and then asking for company, as he finished his drink.

As the liquid disappeared so did his courage.  He went to stand up when his eyes caught those of another man across the bar.

He had just broken it off with Walter again.  He couldn’t keep doing this.  Every time something at work came up Walter would get upset.  He couldn’t stand it anymore.  He was not going back to him.  It was over.  The sooner he admitted it to himself the better it would be.

What was he doing here?  This was Walter’s place.  Walter had taken him here a few times.  To play and when they were feeling extremely paranoid.

But he had no place else to go right now.  Walter would try to get a hold of him at home.  Scully didn’t know about him and Walter and he couldn’t bear to tell her now.

So he came here.  Maybe he would find a quick romp to get over Walter with and move on.

That was for the best.  He had no future with Walter.  Besides being his boss they both had too many skeletons in their closets that they weren’t will to understand.  Well, that Walter wasn’t willing to understand.

Fox Mulder looked up.  Maybe there would be a nice piece of flesh for him.

His eyes fell on the man sitting alone in the bar, deep in thought.  A new guy?  Mulder thought.  He doesn’t look to sure of himself.

The man looked up and their eyes met.  After a few seconds Fox realized that the other man wasn’t going to act.  He’d have to make the first move.

Fox stood up and walked over to the guy.  “Your first drink?”

            “Yeah.”  The man answered.

“Another for my friend and me.”  Mulder called to the bar tender.

“It’s not necessary.”  The man answered.

“Neither is sitting here alone.”  Drinks were placed down in front of them.  “To forgetting, to being someone else.”  Mulder raised his glass, the other man joined in.  The glasses clinked and they both took a big sip of their drinks.

            “You have a room?”

            “No.”  The man answered quickly.

            “You meeting someone?”

            “No.”

“Let’s go.”   Fox finished his drink quickly and stood up.

Josh looked over at the man who propositioned him.  What did he have to lose?  He stood up silently and followed the man out of the bar.

Josh was led to the back door.  His companion flashed a card and the door was opened for him.  They walked up a small flight of stairs.  The man pulled out a key and unlocked the door to room number 10.

Josh followed him in and took a look around.  Before he knew it his back was pressed into the wall and the man’s lips were on his.  Josh melted into the kiss.  This was heaven.  Josh kissed him back opening his mouth slightly, welcoming in the tongue that was trying to gain access.

Josh ran his hands down the man’s clothed back.  The man pulled back and Josh leaned forward for more.  He hungered for that mouth.  It had been a long time since he had been kissed like that, by either man or woman.  Raw passion, was what that kiss was made of and he craved more.

The man reached for the top buttons on Josh’s shirt.  Realizing what was going on Josh moved to help the man get rid of his clothing.  “No.”  Josh’s hands were swatted away.  “Mine.”  And Josh was pulled back into a kiss.

Josh closed his eyes and lost himself in the kiss.  This time it was hard and possessive.  He gave up.  What ever this man wanted to do to him he would allow.  As long as the kissing continued.

Josh didn’t know how it happened but he found himself face down on the bed with the man ramming his cock into Josh’s ass.  This was wonderful.  Each thrust pushed his life out of him.  Josh focused on the feeling of being filled of being owned.  He just wanted to stay like this forever.  A hand reached down for his penis.  It started to jerk him off in time with the pounding in his ass.

Josh rode the wave.  He allowed the feeling to overcome him.  He drowned in it.  He screamed as he came, not caring.  It was freedom.

Josh’s next conscious thought found him in bed naked, in the arms of another man.  Josh sighed as he closed his eyes and let sleep claim him.

Fox snuggled closer to the man in his arms.  He didn’t know his name and he didn’t care.  But something had woken him.  He heard soft crying.

Fox sat up and looked over at the man lying next to him.  There were tears running down his cheeks.  Knowing enough about night time demons, he shook the man gently to wake him.  “Hey.  Wake up?”  He called softly.

The man woke up with a gasp.  “Sorry.”  He stood up and walked into the bathroom.

Fox quickly reached out to lay a hand on his arm.  “Hey.  It’s okay.  You want to talk about it?”

“Uhm, Maybe.  Let me go to the bathroom.”

Fox pulled on his clothing as he waited for the man to return.  He looked at Fox, in his clothes curiously.  “Get dressed we can go downstairs to eat.  The chef here is pretty good.”  And he tossed the man his boxers.

Josh dressed in silence.  He was embarrassed to say the least.  He just let some man fuck him and then cried in his sleep.  It wasn’t the first time some one he slept with woke him up for crying.

But this man didn’t seem to judge.  There was no accusation in his eyes.  Just a person who looked like they had their share of shit to deal with and could comprehend his problems.

Josh had nothing to loose.  He didn’t know this man.  They already fucked they could share some other things too.

Josh was silent as he followed the man out and back down into the main room of the club.  They sat and placed their orders.

“I’m Fox by the way.”  The man put his hand out as a way of introduction.  Josh looked at him strangely.  “Yes, that is my real name.  Don’t believe me I’ll show you some ID”

“That’s ok.  I’m Josh.”  He shook the man’s hand.

After a few moments of silence and the arrival of food, Fox spoke again.  “Your first time here?”

“Yeah.”  Josh barely looked up.  He was still slightly embarrassed about what happened in the room.

“Look, Josh.”  Fox waited for his companion to look up.  “Don’t worry about it.  I’ve woken up in tears next to another person way too many times in my life.  It’s okay.  You want to talk about it?”

“Not much to talk about.  Tonight is the night that I killed my sister.”  Josh said flatly.

“You killed her?”  Fox asked.  His FBI senses on high alert.

“I wanted pop corn.  I didn’t know how to work the machine.  She did.  The wire was frayed and a spark ignited the curtain.”

            “How long ago was this?”

Fox felt for the man across the table.  He knew what he was going through.  He was like this every November on the day his sister was taken.  “Josh, how old where you?”

            “Five.”

“You were a baby, Josh.  It wasn’t your fault.”  At Josh’s snort he knew that wasn’t what he wanted to hear.  “You can here to forget for the night correct?”

            “Yeah.”

“Let me help you forget.”  Fox laid his hand over Josh’s.

Josh looked up.  He saw understanding in the other man’s eyes.  All he could do was nod.

Fox stood up without finishing his food and pulled Josh up with him.  “Let’s go.”

Josh followed willingly, giving himself up to the man holding his hand.  He allowed Fox to lay him down on the bed.  Josh closed his eyes as Fox undressed him again.  “Just forget it all.  All that matters is here and now.”  Fox whispered as he ran his tongue over Josh’s ear lobe.

Josh kept his eyes closed as he heard the zipper on his pants being undone.  The cool breeze of the open window cooled his warm flesh.  His penis was enveloped in moist heat.  He couldn’t help but moan.

He pushed into the mouth and it eagerly took him.  He kept his eyes closed.  The outside didn’t matter.  All he wanted was the pleasure coming from his penis.  That’s all that mattered.

Josh felt the edge getting closer.  “I’m gonna.”  He started to say, but Fox took him deep in his throat and Josh couldn’t hold any longer.

The orgasm hit him and he rode it.  Like a sled down a steep hill.  He bucked his hips and still the warm mouth held him, sucking him.  He felt like he came forever.

When he was finally spent, Fox removed his mouth.  A few seconds later Josh felt a hand on his hip.  “Roll over.”  Josh complied.

The liquid was cool on his back.  But it was quickly warmed as Fox started the best massage of Josh’s life.

It ended with Fox’s fingers up his ass.  Soon that was replaced by his penis.  This orgasm was stronger that the other two combined.  Josh blacked out.

When he came to he was under the covers, in Fox’s arms.  Josh didn’t even bother opening his eyes.  He snuggled deeper into the embrace.  Here was where he wanted to stay.

“Josh.”  A hand was shaking him.

“What?”

“Your phone.”  Josh took the ringing object and held it to his ear.

“Yeah.”

“Josh, where are you?”  Toby’s voice asked.

“Toby?”  Josh opened his eyes.

“You okay Josh?”

“Yeah.  Just tired.”

“You coming in for your meeting today?”

“Uhm, what time is it?”

“You have an hour, but I thought that you would want to weigh in on the speech for Monday night.”

“Okay.  I’ll be there in 30 minutes.”  And Josh closed the phone.  He rolled over and took a look at the man who was leaning over looking at him.  “I’m sorry.  I got to go.”

“That’s okay.”

“I want to thank you for last night.”  Josh said as he got out of bed slowly feeling sore from all of the past nights activity.

“It was my pleasure.  Quite literally.  You plan on coming back?”

“Yeah.  If you are around that is.”  Josh put on his clothing.

“I’ll be here.”  Fox got out of the bed and pulled something out of the pocket of his pants.  He handed the business card to Josh as he put his shoes on.  “You give me a call next time you want to get together.  It doesn’t have to be for this.  Drinks, pool, just name it.”

“And what if you want to get a hold of me?”  Josh asked taking the card and looking at it.

“I know how to call the White House Mr. Lyman.”

Josh’s face paled.  “You know who I am?”

“Yeah.  You’ve been on the news before.”  Fox moved closed and put a hand on his shoulder.  “No one will know from me.  This place is very discreet.  I don’t need my place of employment to know about me either.”

Josh looked down at the card again.  “FBI?”

“Yes.  So give me a call when ever.  Even if you just want to talk.  And this can be our secret.”  Fox leaned over and kissed his cheek before going into the bathroom.

Josh walked out of the club and into his car.  Yes here was a good place to be.  He thought as he drove back to his life.
