 About OFS2: Back to the Primitive Back to the Primitive, the sequel to the popular Operation: Firesweep built for Half-Life 1, is a complete upgrade of the original mod to the powerful Source™ engine.
Back to the Primitive seeks to retell the original storyline that took place in the dark war-zone of Black Mesa 5 years ago. You take the position of Corporal Shepard and fight your way through the detailed and damp atmosphere of the Black Mesa Research Facility.
Detailed F.A.Q. What can I expect from OFS2? Expect a detailed experience through the completely rebuilt Black-Mesa. The Source Engine allows for detail and atmosphere never before possible, allow us to create high definition maps the draw you back into the experience you so enjoyed 5 years ago when the original Half-Life was released.
Is this like Opposing Force for Half-Life 2? No, while keeping true to the Half-Life story, this mod tells the story of the marines involved in the conflict. It has no reference to the Opposing Force storyline.
Who will be my enemies? As well as all the aliens, the scientists and security guards are now also extremely hostile to your occupation of Black-Mesa. They will do anything they can to halt operations of the military within the facility. The aliens will also be upgraded, and allot of the new alien life forms from HL2 will be introduced to the story.
Will we meet Gordon? Perhaps...
