Theatre in Film is an introduction for the theatre student to film as an art form. The student will learn basic skills to facilitate evaluation and criticism of film production and acting. The student will also develop an understanding of the basics of film production and acting for the camera. This course will provide limited opportunities for practice and performance.

Each student is required to provide two (2) written critiques of films in current release using parameters established in class. Similar critiques will be required for films viewed in class. Each student will also read and provide written responses to two (2) related plays as assigned. Students will learn a basic technique for screen acting and will apply these skills to a practical presentation.
