You found the internet home of the Harvey S. Firestone High School Theatre Program and International Thespian Troupe #5570. Firestone High School is a public high school with a student population of over 1200. The school features a formal, college-prep theatre training program as well as elective drama and theatre courses and a full season of extra-curricular productions and related activities.
The Firestone Theatre program --one aspect of a larger visual and performing arts program-- is open to incoming ninth graders only via a formal audition process and open enrollment. Theatre students undergo an extensive program that features four levels of acting as well as courses in theatre history, stage directing, playwriting, scenic design, and musical theatre.
Firestone Theatre students are very active in Thespian events including state and area conferences. We have taken several full-length plays to conference and have placed many students in the Individual Events competition and in recent All-Ohio productions at State Conference. Firestone Theatre also boasts a recent Bob Fose Memorial Scholarship winner -- the highest honor bestowed by Ohio Educational Theatre Association on any high school theatre student.
