The cloud of dust behind you grows larger and louder and your feet pound on the dusty ground. They are closing in on you and you can hear screams and cackles and feel their breath on the back of your neck. The terror almost stops you in your tracks. But suddenly, a door of opportunity opens in the form of a small cave about ten meters ahead to your left. You push, trying to go even faster and just as the evil creatures dive for you, you stumble into the cave, collapsing on the cool floor.
You lay there for a moment, finding joy in the sound of your own panting breaths and the scuttle of insects on the cave floor. But after a few seconds, you push yourself to your feet and stand up. Your eyes widen. There, in a dark corner of the cave, you see a flash of white and color. The creature moves it's head and stretches out toward the center of the cave. You brace yourself, readying for flight.
Your jaw drops when you see the creature. A white animal, with a wild, vividly colored mane and a draconic head. And most of all, wings! |
