| If you don't know who Otik's favourite singer is, then you don't deserve to know! I guess the reason I decided to draw a raccoon is because I saw a particularly fluffy one on Axer's site, and so decided to try my hand at those pretty ring-tails. Otik started out as a sketch in my math notebook called Obie, and he had a camera and was holding 27 8x10 colour glossy photos with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against Arlo Guthrie and his garbage-dumping cohert. (Yes, 99% of you do not know what I just said. Oh well, too bad for you! YOU don't listen close enough to the radio every Thanksgiving, do you?!) Actually, Otik's favourite singer also inspired me to draw a raccoon, because have you seen his eye makeup in certain videos? Not to mention the video for this one particular song shows him sporting gems in a v-shape in the middle of his forehead (see anything in the middle of Otik's forehead?) Otik's eyes were misery, but they came out pretty nicely I think. And the tail? That was just fun : ) 2001, EAP |
