A fairly quick drawing of dragonfly wings that I saw in a book. Black ink and cheap black watercolours (which, upon painting over the ink, I've found, bring out a blueish colour from the ink.) 2002, EAP
An ancient Greek carving of a griffin head. Painted in black tempera from a book on Greek art. 2002, EAP
Black and white tempera painting on grey paper. A portrait of the Madonna, from a book on Michaelangelo. This was painted from a photo of the head of Mary in the Pieta sculpture in St. Peter's cathedral, which I have actually seen. I gave this painting to my grandmother for Christmas. She took a frame off of a drawing that my aunt, her daughter, did when she was younger, and put my painting in it. Poor Aunt Carole... I love my aunt's art, she's an inspiration to me. I have a scratchboard that she did hung in my room, and I took the drawing that my grandmother took out of the frame. I want to hang the drawing over my bed, it's a sketch from a sculpture of three girls dancing in a circle. 2002, EAP
Black and white tempera painting of Michaelangelo's sculpture of David. I love this one - my mother wants to have it framed and hung in our house. But then, don't mothers want that with everything you make?. 2003, EAP
An attempt at abstraction. Painted with tempera and black conte crayon. Further description on the page. 2003, EAP
