Your interested in Kaleva huh? Well to your left is a map of it. Kaleva is Located in the Middle of Manistee County MI, in the Township of Maple Grove Maple Grove Twp. is the Fire/ Rescue Department which I am on. Kaleva was settled by Finnish people who where tricked into believeing that the land here was very fertile. When they got here they found out that it was all sand and stumps where the loggers of Manistee had cut down many trees. Now a group called Service Learning, from the Brethren High School, is restoreing and adding many things in the community that deal with the finish roots it started with.
