I'm very happy that Sir Ian McKellan is to Gandalf - he's an excellent actor and can play many different characters - I hope they give very busy eyebrows.
If I could make one suggestion though - listen to the BBC Radio 4's adaptation of tLotR.� (Sir) Michel Horden was perfect as Gandalf. He was the right mix of grumpy, angry and wise old man - even though Wizards were not human.
Ian Holm played Frodo now he's playing Bilbo.�
