CHRISTIE FOR WILLIAMSON, FOR JYD. WHO BENEFITTED?
By SPA

The above is but one example of how Grunwald traded a player and got much less in return... This is a common theme with him.....why you ask? Several possible answers are:
The initial trade was Doug Christie to Sacramento for Corliss Williamson. The numbers clearly indicate that we gave up value to get less value in return. Yes Williamson was coming off the bench in Sacramento, but notice how his production sky rocketed once he left Toronto to go to Detroit, and he still came off the bench with the Pistons last year. In fact, Corliss last year won the 6th Man Award, what did JYD win aside from a few barks from his fans and possibly the highest paid cheerleader award ?
Christie and his all round game was chased off this team, and all we have to show for it, is JYDs $40 million contract. If you remember, Mr. Christie left because we would not renegotiate his contract, and at the time Christie's contract was valued at approximately $27 million. The fact is that JYD's contract is worth $13 million more than Christie. The only person who can justify this, if such a possibility exists, is our mad scientist, Dr. Grunwald. The last time someone experimented with dinosaurs they ended up dead.
