I just purchased a new 5150 II head and a 5150 straight cab. The head has improved clean channel over the 5150 and now has seperate EQ, Resonance, and Presence for each channel. It has 4 of the new Ruby MSTR 6LGC power tubes and 5 Electro Harmonix 12ax7 pre-amp tubes and 1 Sovtek 12ax7 pre-amp tube. The Cab has 4-12" Sheffield speakers at 300 watts. |

I am using a Digitech 2112 Studio Guitar system which has 100 factory presets and up to 100 user programmable effects. Some of the features include a 24-bit data path, Dual 12AX7 tubes, Dual S-Disk Processing, Effects can be repeated as a chain, Speaker Emulation, Tube preamp with 6 different programmable distortion types (3tube, 3solid state), Modulation delays, Digital EQ'S, Built in tuners, and up to 15 effects can be used at once. I have upgraded the tubes to Electro-Harmonix 12AX7.. I also have the addition of a Digitech Control One foot controller which has a built-in expression pedal. One downside to this unit is that it is very difficult to program making it frustarting at times. |

For recording I use a Fostex MR-8 Digital 8 track. It stores data on memory sticks and has a USB port for data transfer to a PC |

This is my RG550bk that I purchased new in 2002 it is a wonderful guitar that is very easy to play and has the best pickup configuration to suit my needs. It has an upgraded Dimarzio ToneZone at the bridge a Dimarzio HS-2 single coil and a Dimarzio Evolution at the neck. |
