This is a little album of TJ's fight for life. The pictures are difficult to look at because they are sad and not at all like the baby I had known for nearly 6 months. Why would I chose to remember such a sad time? For a couple of reasons. We took these pictures when we thought these would be the last memories of him. Thankfully TJ has given us many more. Also to remind us how precious life is. That in a moment everything can change and to cherish it while we can.
**Remember it is your choice whether you chose to view these sensitive photos, I recommend that children not be present while you view them**
That fateful day June 28, 2002. This little teddy was sent from wonderful friends who wanted us to feel there love from all across the country. Thank you girls.
An intrusive oscillating ventilator delivers continuous little breaths into TJ's lungs. It's nessacary to keep the fluid in his body from crushing his lungs.
Mommy looks over TJ. We now have Hope and think "Today is the gift we didn't know we'd have yesterday"
After kidney failure for more than 20 hours, TJ's little body swelled to double his "dry" weight of 13lbs. His skin was so tight, and his eye lids so puffy. The oscillating vent kept his little body jiggling. Hence his nickname at the time JigglyPuff. Here he was actually improving and his kidneys with the aid of diuretics were working hard to get the fluid off.
More pics of TJ recovering to come. Thank you to Lori for resizing them for me!
To TJs Miracle
This tigger was given to TJ from his big brother. Then one by one little medals  and crosses were added. Tigger was always by TJ's side.
Eventually the osillating vent was switched for a normal vent. And as you can see that fluid came off nicely!
