Churchbells and Sirens
A phone rings in the evening
An engine revs at night
A doorbell chimes a greeting
Her beauty fills his sight
Clapping fills the theater
Rain plips on the walk
A crashing breaks the stillness
A siren in the dark
Shouting 'cross the table
A phone rings in the night
Wailing fills the morning
Churchbells in the light
And silent screaming remains
For eternity.
