"Go for it," you tell Merlyn. "Anything to get rid of this headache."

"Okay," she answers. "Sit still."

You watch as Merlyn holds her arms outcrossed in front of her and bows her head upon them. She begins chanting a spell. The words are muffled and you can't make them out, and you don't think she is speaking a language you know, anyway. You think you catch the name of the god Kalyro in there, though.

Suddenly she stops chanting, lifts her head, and spreads her arms. For a moment your vision goes blurry and spins, and then your head clears. Your headache is gone, and you feel strangely refreshed, besides.

"Thank you," you tell Merlyn.

"Anytime," she agrees with a grin.

"Hey, guys, can we get going?" complains Deke, pounding the fumball into his palm. "Let's get started. When do I get to fight something?"
