"You said that last time you told my fortune, you were lying," you accuse. "You said fortune tellers only make up stories. Why should I believe you now?"
Though Sharalinda's expression doesn't change, her voice sounds a bit puzzled as she asks, "When did I say that to you?"
"You know! In front of the bushes by the gruntnugget booth! When I...disturbed you while you were putting on your costume!"
Madam Sharalinda sits in silence for a moment, then says, "I understand. I understand. It seems I have even less time to prepare you than I thought I had."
"What..."
She holds up her hand to cut you off. "I never saw you in the bushes by the gruntnugget booth," she begins. "You must have met my sister, Malynda. She is, like myself, a powerful sorceress. But she has committed herself to evil. She must be trying to discourage you from fulfilling your destiny in this land. I hope to goodness that you've seen the last you'll see of her...but I doubt it."
"But she looked just like you," you argue.
"Yes," Sharalinda nods. "We are twin sisters. Perhaps in time you'll learn to tell us apart. But until then, use this trick. You see here, I have a tiny beauty mark on my right cheek." She points it out to you. "Malynda has a similar beauty mark, but on her left cheek. That's the best way to tell us apart, should you ever need to. Now, how about I explain to you what you are doing in this world, and how you may return to your home?"
"That sounds good to me," you say.
