"I've always liked bugs," you tell Merlyn. "I think I'll keep it." You hold it out for her to see. "Like it?" you ask.

"Actually," says Merlyn, examining the bug more closely, "It's a good thing you kept it. It's a cricket. Crickets are lucky."

"Are they?" you ask, intrigued. You'd never heard of a lucky cricket before. "Well, I'll keep this guy around, then." You put the cricket in your pocket. "Where should we go next?" you ask.

"Well, I've got to be off," says Merlyn. "I've got to find my teacher."

"Dance teacher?" you ask.

"Something like that," she responds. "I'll find you later, though. Enjoy yourself for now; see the rest of the fair. I suggest you try some of Zuba's famous barbecued gruntnuggets, if you haven't already."
