The vehicles developed by the american-born inventor J. Walter Christie were a lasting contribution to armor history, and although many of his designs never saw fruition, they still impacted on the armor development of that period.
This website is mainly devoted to his tank designs, and only briefly touches on his other efforts to create gun carriages, amphibious military vehicles and flying tanks. These may be pursued at a later date, but for now we will simply skim through his efforts to field a fast cruiser style family of tank chassis with the unique "Christie Suspension", which for the times was revolutionary.
