Slackware 10.2 released
Slackware 10.2 have been released. A lot joy and happiness will come with the newest version of this edition.
I think this is a new era for Slackware which on this version includes "test26.s"
kernel (Kernel 2.6.13) that allow us to have SCSI, SATA, and RAID support.
But a liitle "tweak" have to be done to make Slackware 10.2 able to read our SCSI, SATA and RAID. First you must select "test26.s" kernel at first booting then after installtion almost finish you will be ask for the kernel that you want to use then choose "Use Kernel from CDROM" then you will be informed to change the disk 2 to disk 1 then choose "test26.s" kernel again. Then reboot your fresh installation but in the booting messages you will see some "error messages"about "modules" that's for sure !!!.... So you have to install "kernel-modules" on /Testing also you can install "alsa-driver" and "kernel-source" if you want to install e.g.
ATI Driver.
After that you must restart again to load "modules" from kernel after that now will see that you have SCSI and SATA support :) .
Now enjoy your day with S L A C K W A R E.......
