| Saturday, November 10th, 2001 Our first large scale group event which was comprised of an evening of cosmic bowling, followed by a wonderful dinner in Richmond. A lot of planning took place in order to make this event such a great success....heehee! We had such a great turn out as well. Thirteen people came to this event that evening...which was more than we thought at first.=D Anyways...here's the play by play for the evening: We arrived at the Cosmic Bowling Alley at around 5pm on that Saturday evening. The first thing that you would notice when you walk in is the atmosphere. Unlike normal bowling when there is adequate lighting, cosmic bowling is played in the dark (most of the lights turned off). |

| The only lights that are on are the special UV (glow in the dark) lights that make you turn purple if you are wearing white! [Notice some of the people wearing white that night???] Also, there were fog machines that periodically let out smoke which covered parts of the bowling lanes! There was music playing throughout the whole time as well. Another cool thing was that the bowling balls and pins had a fluorescent glow to them. (Don't ask me why this is, i'm just telling you what I remember that night ^_^). We reserved two lanes that night for cosmic. They are the two that are the furthest to the right in the above picture. You may have noticed that for one of the lanes, the gutter guards were up (the white things that prevent the ball from falling into the gutter). Why did we do this?? Well, it made sure for us that we would be hitting at least one pin when we are bowling on that lane! Moreover, this made for innovative bowling. |

| Since the ball couldn't fall into the gutter, we made up many different styles of delivering the ball. There was a behind the back throw, a behind the back & between the legs throw, sideways walking throw, forward granny throw, reverse granny throw, kneel down on the floor throw, left handed throw, closed eyes throw, a Michael Jackson Moonwalk throw, as well as simultaneous throws with another person on the other lane at the same time. Haha...these were a thrill to watch!!! Well, seems like everyone had a great time. The girls dominated that evening. I believe Ingrid bowled an upper 140 score, and Winyee bowled at least a 120 that evening...The guys???? Don't ask....Don't know what happened....Nothing close to what those two girls had bowled. =D....but we all enjoyed ourselves that evening and that's all that counts!!!
