About Fire & Ice Publishing
Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Robert Frost, from Harper's Magazine, December 1920
Fire & Ice Publishing seeks to publish the works of radical and controversial writers
and performers in poetry, philosophy, theology, literature, and politics.
Fire & Ice challenges the selection criteria of the current publishing industry
which is bound by a calculus of "safe" and commerical marketability.
Fire & Ice will not acquiesce to this calculus as we hold that risk and chance can achieve
an ever greater creativity for publishing.
Fire & Ice seeks to demonstrate that publishing creativity and viability does not come
from tailoring content to current mainstream fashions, but from a radical commitment to the
cultivation of a space for indigenous and radical creativity and expression.
