About Station #4
The station was built in 1948 and refurbished in 1999.

Total of 30 firefighters are stationed at Station 4. 2 officers and 8 firefighters are assigned per shift. We work a 24 / 48 shift schedule with a Kelly day (relief day) every 14 shifts to bring us to a 52 hour work week.

Station #4 houses an Engine, 100ft Aerial Platform, ALS Rescue and a Technical Rescue Truck. We also have a 20 ft trailer and a 53 ft semi-trailer that is part of our Technical Rescue Team.

We are the Technical Rescue Team for the City of St. Petersburg which consists of Elevated Rescue, Trench Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Structure Collapse and Vehicle Extrication.

Our Technical Rescue Team is part of the Pinellas County Technical Rescue Team consisting of St. Petersburg Fire Rescue, Pinellas Park Fire Rescue, Seminole Fire Rescue, Largo Fire Rescue and Clearwater Fire Rescue.

We are also part of a State of Florida Regional Response Urban Search and Rescue Team consisting of St. Petersburg Fire Rescue, Tampa Fire Rescue and Hillsborough Fire Rescue.
