Tommy moaned in misery. He had had a VERY bad week. First his father
was once again in one of his 'moods', which ment Tommy had better
make himself scarce for a few days. And to make that worse, Zordan
and the other Rangers were running him into the ground. Just because
he was the leader they seemed to expect him to handle EVERY little
crisses. Honestly! He was only a seventeen year old kid what did they
want from him. But still did he complain, did he tell them that he
would rather let Zedd destroy the world then go out and fight at
three a.m. in the freezeing rain.

No like the good little pet leader that he was he had gone out into
the rain storm and fought the monster that had been destroying
downtown Angelgroove, while the other rangers were snuggled up in
their nice warm beds with there nice loving families, sleeping like
anyone with any sense.

And what do you ask did he get for all his trouble, well, beatn into
the ground and come down with pneumonia, that's what. So here he was
standing outside Kathrines apartment at three a.m. Saturday morning
trying to figure out what the hell he was going to say to her.
"Oh, my beautiful Kat, please take care of me my tummy hurts and my
fathers going to kill me if he catches me coming in at this hour." He
paced tiredly across the hallway. "Yeah that's gonna work." He
breifly considered getting back in his car and going home but he felt
even to terible to make the drive.
The rain had been so hard that it had soaked through his ranger suit
and drenched his clothes he was wearing underneath it.

Sighing in defeat he knocked as hard as he could on the door, praying
that Kat lived alone like she had told him a while back.

Kat opened the door slowly and gasped in shook. There soaking wet on
her door stap stood Tommy, looking as lost and pathetic as she had
ever seen him. He locked eyes with her and gave her a pleading
look. "Kat." It came out in and tiered whisper. "Tommy?" Her first
instinct was that something was very very wrong. He looked terrible,
his jacket, blue shirt, and jeans were cut in verious places, and he
was shivering and dripping wet from head to foot.
He hesitantly took a step toward her but wound up stumbling to the
ground as a fresh wave of nausea hit.

Kat of course was at his side instantly helping him sit up. "Tommy
what happened? Why are you here? Are you ok?" Her questions were
spooken far to fast for his sick brain to comprehend. Feeling to
tired and hurt to try he simply wrapped his arms around his friends
waist and buried his face into her soft t-shirt coverd stomach,
whimpering for affection.

Kat of course had no idea what was wrong and certianly no idea how to
fix it. So she did the second best thing she could thing of. Shifting
her position slightly she began to gently run her fingures through
his wet hair and caress his hot neck and face. He stopped whimpering
abruptly and was soon purring with appreciation.

"Tommy, what happened, why are you here?" She made sure to speak more
slowly this time. And he suddenly felt compeled to tell her every
thing. He had deep down known he would. Kat just had that 'tell me
what's wrong and I'll make it better' thing about her.
So just like the big pathetic baby he felt like he suddenly spilled
his guts sobbing miserably as the whole story came tumbling out.

He told her how bad his parents treated him, how he hadn't slept in a
week because of all the battles they had been sending him on. How he
was just a kid and leader or not he couldn't handle EVERYTHING ALL
THE TIME.
So he had come to her, wanting some one to give a damn whether he
lived or died. Wanting her to make him feel better and care about him
because right now he didn't feel like anyone else did.

Kat had actually known he was tiered, she had seen it in him the
other day when he was sparing Rocky. But she had just racked it up to
him being the leader. Had she known he was hurting like this she
would have tried to fix things then. But there was no point thinking
about that now. Tommy was here, and hurting badly, and he needed her
to make it better. The only problem was how was she going to do that.

She continued to stroke his hair and hold him in hopes of calming
him. He buried his face deeper into her stomach as more pain and
humiliation washed over him. He wasn't about to let go any time soon
and Kat knew it. So she moved him to her lap, holding him thighter as
he cried out all his pain.
After a while though he calmed and hesitantly rested his head on her
sholder and closed his eyes. In a matter of moments his exhaustion
caught him and he fell asleep. Not even stirring when Kat picked him
up and carried him to her room.
