Note – This doesn’t really have a Season, this talks a
little about how horrid his family is, etc. This does how ever deal with very
serious issues, child abuse, and just over all bad crap. So if any one is
sensitive about that then don’t read this.
Summary

*Down in the dirt, that’s were I always wind up.* He didn’t remember what he had done this time. *Maybe it was the noblewoman at the party. Maybe I didn’t act properly enough in front of her for my fathers liking. Or maybe it was that count that came over yesterday, maybe I did something wrong in his presence. Does it even matter any more?* He could hear the heavy steps as his father reaproched him. Liam lye still as stone praying that he’d leave now. He had just had the crap beaten out of him and now he hoped it was over. “Git up ye good fer nothen arse.” He flinched inward but didn’t move. “I said git up!” He screamed as he was garbed by his hair and yank roughly to his feet. He had no strength left to fight or beg. “I’ll teach ye to disobey yer father like tha, and not even confess it!” He threw him against the wall. And once down again gave him a good strong kick in the ribs for good measure. “Donna ye dare start weepn!” Another kick, and another two broken ribs. He desperately tried to stop his crying but was just in too much pain.
(PRESENT DAY; LOS
ANGELES)
“Liam.” Buffy gently tried to shake him awake. They had just pulled in to the hospital and parked, when he had started to cry out for help in his sleep. “Liam sweety wake up.” She shook him slightly harder. “Mhhhmmm Buffy?” She smiled at him. “Yep, that’s me.” She helped him sit up and grew concerned when she saw him wince. “Hey, we’re here.” He looked at her trying to comprehend. “The hospital… or um doctors.” He nodded yes, now remembering. “Okay so what’d ya say we go now and see if they can’t help.” He didn’t reply but allowed her and Wesley to help him out of the car and lead him up to the building. He stared nervously around trying to take in his surroundings as Wesley went to find a doctor. “You okay?” Buffy looked at him worriedly. “I, um, I donna feel well.” She took his hand. “I know baby, I’ll take you home soon so you can get some sleep.” He smiled slightly. Nobody had ever been this nice to him before, whether she was an evil sorceress of Satin or not he didn’t want to leave her for anything. “Well?” Wesley reappeared with a young woman in a white coat. “Hello I’m doctor Courtright.” “Hi.” Buffy shook hands with the other woman. “Yes, a, she specializes in ‘certain’ types of patients.” Buffy caught it. This woman was a demon doctor. “Yes Mr. Price has told me of your situation. I don’t normally treat vampires you understand, but I’ve heard of Angel. The one with a soul. He has quite the reputation-“ “Yes he does. But this isn’t him.” She motioned to Liam who looked like he was about to bolt at any second. “I mean it is, but with out the vamp. Part. Or memory part.” She nodded. “Yes, he’s informed me of your friends lack of memory. Which again is probably why you don’t have a human doctor look at him.” “Right. So will you help?” “Of course. Follow me.” The brunette led them down to an examining room and closed the door. “Perhaps you’d like to wait outside?” She motioned to both Buffy and Wesley. Wesley nodded and headed for the door. “Yes, if you can take it from here.” Angel tightened his grip on Buffys hand. ”l ‘m gonna stay.” She gave the doctor a knowing look and she nodded in response. ”Wesley why don’t you go ahead and head home, there’s not much else you can do right now.” “Are you certain?” She nodded. “Yeah, can you call a cab?” “Certainly Buffy. I’ll call you later to make certain everything’s all right.” “Okay. I’ll see ya later.” He gave a quick wave and headed out. Leaving the two women to return their attention to Liam. “Alright Angel, why don’t you go ahead and take off those bloody clothes so I can see how bad off you are.” She started to busy herself trying to find a thermometer and casually took off her long white coat. Liam yelped in panic and Buffy realized why. The doctor though having a completely human face, had a five-foot long furry bluish pink tail coming out from under her skirt. “What’s wrong?” She looked at the slayer and ex vampire in concern. “Oh um, nice tail.” “Thank you. I have to keep it hidden most of the time though.” “yeah. I can imagine.” Liam was pulling desperately on her hand trying to get out of the room before this demon killed them both. “Sweety calm down.” Buffy tried to soothe him. Doctor Courtright was getting confused. “What’s wrong? You must have seen thousands of demons…. Oh. Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot, he doesn’t remember.” Buffy tried to remain pacient. “No it’s okay. Liam calm down. She’s not going to hurt you.” “But she’s a-“ “Ssshhhh. She’s a half breed, half human half… um I’m sorry what species-“ “Oh, Langousr. I assure you we’re a peaceful race.” Buffy nodded and smiled. “See it’s okay.” He looked at Buffy nervously. “I promise I’m not going to hurt you.” He considered this and calmed slightly, but didn’t remove his grip from Buffys hand. “Good, now will you please take off those clothes so we can get started.” He grew panicked again. “Sweety it’s okay.” Buffy once more tried to reassure him. He seemed to listen to her and she knew that if they had any chance of helping him she’d have to be the one to reassure and convince him he was safe. “Please Liam. We just want to make sure your okay.” He didn’t answer but started to remove his shirt stopping as a fresh wave of pain jolted through him at the straining movements. “You okay.” He nodded yes. But was obviously lying. “Here, let me help.” He gazed at her unsteadily but didn’t move to stop her or flee as she reached to pull his shirt off. “Ow!” “Oo, sorry.” Buffy had accidentally brushed a large gash on his shoulder when she removed the black T-shirt. “S okay.” “Here why don’t you sit down?” She and Buffy helped him up onto the cold metal table. After making sure he was okay Buffy resumed undressing him. Both women sensed his uncomfortableness as his black jeans became the only thing that hadn’t been removed. He couldn’t stop him self from blushing as Buffy lowered his zipper, and glanced away so she wouldn’t notice, not realizing she was having problems of her own. Like noticing that he was definitely lacking any underwear. *Damn it slayer calm down! It’s not like you haven’t seen him naked before.* Buffy mentally kicked herself as she felt her heart skip a beat and senses heighten. Completing the task, she helped him stand and slipped the remainder of the damn clothes off. Leaving him standing very naked and very uneasy. “Lye down Liam.” The doctor had got the whole Angel Liam name thing now. After getting a nod from Buffy he did as told, shivering as the cold steel touched his back and ass. Finally getting a complete look at him Buffy found her self near tears as she noticed that his legs and arms were laced with cuts and lashes. While his once flat muscular stomach and abdomen was now deeply curved in and gave the look as if he had been starved for some time. She also noticed that these too were covered with cuts and bruises. “Oh Angel.” He looked at her wearily but remained silent. “What did you say did this to him?” Buffy broke her gaze. “Wesley and Cordy said they we’re fighting Amora demons. But……” “But what?” “It’s just that if his features and everything changed back to what they where at seventeen then… why didn’t his injuries go away?” The doctor seemed to consider this for a moment. “That’s a good question, unless…” “Unless what?” “Unless these aren’t from the fight.” Buffy returned her attention to Liam. “Liam what’s the last thing you remember?” He seemed to think a minute. “I, um, I and me sis were joken at the table.” He hoped she believed him. “That’s it? You weren’t maybe in a fight or anything?” He shook his head no, feeling very sick about lying to her. She knew something was wrong by the look on his face but decided that again now wasn’t the time to push him. “Okay. Do your thing doc.” She brushed his bangs out of his face. “Just relax we’ll have you fixed up in no time.” “He caught Buffys hand again and held it tightly. “Your gonna be okay. Promise.”
