| Forgotten Roses The darkness from within the room seemed to carry a scent, The soft, misty scent of long forgotten roses, As she peered deeply into the expansive darkness, The shadows within silently held their breathe, Watching, waiting quietly for the right moment, Looking even more carefully, she saw a light, It was a warm yellow light, with an iridescent sparkle, The light called to her, telling her to go forward, But she dared not, she could not, not ever, The feeling the room gave her chilled her to her soul, Quickly she turned away from the mesmerizing light, . . . But as she did . . . An unknown, powerful force carried her across the room, She tried to scream in protest, but no words escaped her lips, She was engulfed by the unknown blackened force, Slowly she felt herself being taken to a place where everything meant nothing, Silence was no longer golden and she was no lonver subsequent, The black force laid her on a bed, A bed filled with long forgotten roses, The force she resisted so hard had succeeded, Darkness was her home, Her master forevermore. |
