---With a wicked grin the vampire turned to the boy. He was about 20 years old. He stared at her horrified, unable to move. Blood was dripping of her fangs onto the ground, where it vanished in one of the numerous puddles of blood.
The boy’s father, mother and his little sister lay dead on their beds, blood still running from horrible wounds, their mouths still open as if they wanted to scream one last time, their eyes frozen in their sockets, their faces covered with an eternal pain and a last prayer to up above..not received.
She came closer to him. He, still frozen to the ground, looked scared up at her. She smiled and licked her lips. Then she strectched her hand out to him and caressed his cheeks and neck and moved it slowly over the rest of his body. “I like you,” she said. “I think I let you live. By my side. Forever.” With that she bent over and put her fangs carefully, but sure in the skin of his neck…---
“No! Stop!” Rich screamed and struggled against J’s grip. Rich had been having this nightmare over and over again since Abs bit him. He fell in the end, exhausted and out of his nerves terribly ill. And still the nightmare kept on coming back, like a movie was played for his eyes, over and over again. He was at home, and the other lads were there too to take care of him, because he had been acting delirious.
“How’s he?” asked Abs silently when he came in. He knew it was probably his fault Rich was that ill, but he couldn’t give a damn about it. He was too much vampire now.
Rich, hearing the voice, suddenly sat up in his bed and stared at Abs, seeing something in his face that hadn’t been there before, and knew the nightmare wasn’t a nightmare but the truth. “Keep away from me! Get away! Get away!” he shouted almost hysterically. J stood up fast and took Abs out of the room. “He doesn’t know what he’s doing.” He said softly to his friend. “He’s being delirious again. You’d better go. Don’t worry.”
J returned quickly to the room when Abs left, where Scott and Billie tried to calm Rich down. After they gave him a sleeping tablet, he finally fell back asleep, but still his face was troubled, and his friends were desperate seeing him like this, so terribly ill…
Abs went home to Danielle. She was awaiting him. “Nicole saw you at Queens” she told him. “What were you doing there?”
“Nothing. Geez, do I have to justify every step I do?”
“If you take them with another woman, then you do, yes.”she replied, trying to stay calm.
Abs frowned. “So? What do you wanna hear? That it’s nothing. Well, you know I can’t lie.”
“Are you implying…”
“As a matter of fact: yes I am. And now I’m going. To join her. Have fun, my sweet.”He grabbed his coat and left again. Danielle shook her head. “That couldn’t have been Abs.”she muttered. “I can’t believe this.”
Abs walked to May’s appartement. A new begining? Or the begining of the end? Dark clouds covered the sun.
